Pros

Great culture, good values, nice office, there can be good international opportunities if you seek them out. Great recognised brand.

Cons

You will not make as much money as your peers who work at other consulting firms, at local government, in academia or state/federal government. The pay is distributed very strangely within the firm - and it is very difficult to get financially rewarded for doing a great job. The profit share is much lower than you will expect. This leaves the firm unable to retain the "bright star" staff that it tries to attract. If you are ambitious I do not recommend you stay long - go somewhere else and come back when you have experience and they give you a better base salary. You will not be rewarded properly until you have been at the firm over ten years - this is not an overstatement.

Pros

Working at Arup was a great experience, surrounded by smart, motivated, and mission-driven peers.

Cons

This may have since improved, but at least previously, the America's region felt rather second-class compared to UK. Most/all senior leadership, even in the US, was British.
