Pros

Benefits Interesting Projects Opportunity to guide own career (my experience, possibly not everyone's experience) Flexible working hours (my own experience, possibly not everyone's experience) I personally really like it at Arup. There have been very few times that I have felt micromanaged and often feel like they treat me as an adult with expecting me to work my hours whenever I say that I do, not asking questions if I arrive late or leave early every once in a while. With that being said, I'm sure this company isn't right for some people. There is a lot of time spent in meetings, which some people feel are a waste. But I find a lot of those meetings to be beneficial because it is a chance to learn about other disciplines, work being done in other regions, or to collaborate on project ideas.

Cons

Salary Long hours (depending on the person) Poor dealing with employees of poor performance Regimented promotions (approx 2-3 years)

Pros

great supervisor, lots of professional development opportunities

Cons

insane workload and expect you to be available for work 24/7. some teams are drowning and others have no resourcing. layoffs happen completely randomly and they lay off people who are 100 percent billable. profit share is bs and you get nothing as a junior member
