Pros

Relaxed work environment Lots of social perks - Staff lunches, holiday parties, holiday events, staff hikes, birthday events..etc Small, but talented team all working in the same room - which makes collaboration between departments quick and easy Management is always open to trying new ideas / expanding styles All opinions are listened to during a project's development

Cons

From a developer standpoint; some older websites were built with a proprietary CMS which isn't the best to work with. Although these sites are almost phased out.

Pros

Relaxed culture, good hours (mon-fri) if that is your sort of thing, opportunity to network with business people in the community.

Cons

This small company is run by very unprofessional people. Very cliquey management, with no credentials to hold their titles. No training provided for tasks you are expected to complete. Hire people only to "lay them off" weeks or a few months later because they cannot afford to pay salary. Compensated unfairly, bi-monthly pay based on 40 hours for hourly employees (is this legal?) with no averaging agreement. Hire either unpaid "interns" or "interns" who are paid very little to do their job. No room for advancement in this small company who cannot seem to expand their business.

Pros

A real team of people, all dedicated to creating a business that we can believe in. Welcoming to entry level team members, very low turnover. Willing to train (as long as you put the back work in and can self train as well - don't expect hand holding here).

Cons

Small businesses always struggle to keep people who perform below expectations. Some layoffs were likely unsettling to the short term employees who couldn't keep up.
