Pros
-AppleOne hosts a positive company culture which promotes wellness, strong work/life balance and an active life-style. -You are given feedback and encouraged to give feedback to your superiors. Training and development is taken seriously and management seeks to make hiring decision in the interest of long-term potential. -This company went above and beyond for me in a time of illness, a uniquely important consideration considering the current times. While I held an entry-level role, I felt supported by team members at all levels of the company.
Cons
The emphasis placed on building a strong company culture at AppleOne is commendable and one of the main reasons I enjoyed working at this company. In the same breath, in my opinion there are circumstances in which this may have worked to the detriment of employees on staff. The company has an idealistic "positive culture", fantastic! So, what's the problem? It was in my opinion, that many were hesitant to speak their mind or engage in open dialogue with potential to offend others on the team (in terms of professional disagreement). There was a bit of a trickledown of "niceness" which felt unspoken and silently enforced. In hindsight, I do believe said trickledown may have stood in the way of optimal effectiveness. Granted, these are observations from only a short course of employment at the company. If the only problem is people can be too nice however, I think I would say it is still a great place to work!
