Pros
Have been working at Appiro for less than a year now and have absolutely LOVED it! The people are helpful, the company is fun, and everything is transparent. I haven't run into a single jerk yet (not the case with my former company where every other employee was a jerk). I love the Friday calls where we see exactly how the company is growing, some of our challenges, and progress in focus areas. Not only that but Appirio eats its own dog food when it comes to embracing the cloud. I have been "de-Microsofted" when it comes to using Google products and embracing the cloud. The use of technology is amazing! Video calls and remote meetings have now all become second nature to me.
Cons
A few minor knits to pick: 1. No 401k match - Everyone else offers it, why not Appirio? 2. Partial staffing on projects - You will probably be working on 2-3 projects at the same time. Would be nice to be staffed full time on a project but I understand that every project doesn't need full time resources 3. Don't quite have the partnership model nailed down yet - Appirio has put in place a model with partner & Account Directors but they haven't quite tuned the model yet so everyone is playing their correct role in that model. We'll get there but we've had some "teething" issues. 4. Advancement opportunities - As noted in other reviews, there doesn't appear to be a ton of opportunities to move up the value chain. However, I have been in other companies where the culture is "up or out" which can be BRUTAL. I MUCH prefer this laid back approach to career management. Besides, I am happy as a clam where I am, doing what I am doing and I don't think I would want the added stress of moving up the career ladder at this point.
