Pros
None readily come to mind outside of really enjoying working with some of my teammates. I genuinely tried to think of more but couldn't.
Cons
Most unprofessional middle management I have ever experienced. Management treats direct reports like adversaries. Speaks down and aggressively to employees, especially women. Cannot perform basic administrative functions required of role. Be prepared for the expectation that you will have to remind management of pre-approved time off at several instances before leaving. Team culture is distrustful. Hours are tracked. Not remote-work friendly. Frequent pressure to come into the office for employees. There is an expectation that you post in slack when you leave your desk for more than 10 minutes. Complete lack of transparency into the company's finances. My annual review/raise was set in November. They pushed this to January due to an initiative where they wanted everyone's reviews to take place in the same month. This has now been pushed to March for all employees. No talk of back paying this compensation. Pay and overall compensation is not competitive at all. No annual bonus. Minimal PTO that is often policed by management. Complete lack of well-defined, efficient process and suggestions for improvement are met with hostility. Severe lack of setting clear expectations. This is a big red flag because this allows management to constantly move the goal posts no matter how hard you try. Metrics that track productivity that are in effect do not accurately reflect work being done at all. Again, suggestions for improvement ignored and/or met with hostility. Upward mobility limited. Run don't walk. The market is hot for admins and I had no issue finding much better employment.
