Pros

it's a remote job so that's nice

Cons

For the stage this company is at and how much funding they have it's astounding how they operate. When I questioned certain processes (or lack there of) I was told "we're a start up" ... News flash Series D almost 600 employees is NOT a start up. They have so much tech but don't use it to it's fullest extent. When giving recommendations on how to improve some of this I was basically told to stay in my lane. The folks who manage these various pieces of tech literally have no idea what they're doing. ICs on the revenue team are set up for failure. Front line managers have no influence or power. They're just task masters who care more about making sure you complete certain fields in the CRM vs making sure they're team can be successful. When you go to one of the many "squads" (product teams) with a question they often point you in another direction... A lot of passing the buck/"not my responsibility" here. Customers buy only to find out they get little to no support and so promptly churn. Despite the majority of the business coming from very small deals there is a very large ARR threshold for companies to get a CSM or onboarding support. Just to create a contract for a deal is one of the most convoluted processes I've ever experienced. It's an absolute train wreck if there's anything out of the ordinary on the contract. Apollo wants to automate everything and doesn't care that it might create a terrible experience for the prospect/customer. Marketing initiatives that are cringe. It's embarrassing. And a lot of this cringey stuff goes out on behalf of the sellers making us look like idiots. Burnout by almost everyone I speak to.

Yikes! Sorry to read this and hear your experience. This is not easy to read, especially your comment on not seeing the company change for the better: which is something we work hard at trying to do constantly. We aspire to have a world class culture here at Apollo and we take this feedback seriously. Thank you for the taking the time to share it. I'll make sure to pass on your notes to the management team to review -Declan

Pros

Only the fact that it's remote work, and maybe not even that.

Cons

Not even sure where to start with this company. This is probably one of the most erratic companies I have NOT had the pleasure of being a part of. The lack of structure within job roles is alarming. There were several employees that I worked with who literally had no idea what their true job descriptions were, with the responsibilities and priorities within roles shifting almost daily, leaving people stressed and confused. Upper management is absolutely clueless about the day-to-day, nor do they care to be involved. The expectation is to "just do" and "do it fast" without question, even at the expense of your time, mental health ect. I honestly have never experienced such a company absent a clear framework. They use about 100 different "productivity tools," which makes it close to impossible to work cohesively and produce high-quality work. Everyone is basically operating on their own and "hoping" for successful results. The turnover is super high, and people are leaving left and right, which is a huge red flag. I would not at all recommend this company if you are looking for a place that offers any kind of structure, work-life balance, or an organized environment.
