Pros

-Great benefits -Fun workplace culture -Plenty of opportunity to move up -Great Lloyds insurance programs available that tier 2 brokerages don't have access to -Nice downtown office

Cons

-Managers are established account executives who still have books of business to services and new account quotas which leads to poor management practices -Awful commission structure: Execs don't make commission on renewals but if they lose accounts it deducts from their new business commissions. -Poor training practices -Depending on what department you are in, some are your typical old boys club where women get overlooked for promotion and mentorship.

Pros

Great role to transition into the insurance industry. Many resources and opportunities to expand technical knowledge. Client visits are great if you like to travel. Lucky to have a manager who doesn’t micromanage. If you’re organized, driven, and good at communicating you’ll do great.

Cons

Can be stressful at times around busy renewal cycles. Travel often depending on industry and clients.
