Pros

Most of the people working with Aon are friendly.

1. During my last 2 years at Aon I had a lot of health problems and went onto an Intermittent Leave (FMLA) which allowed me to attend all of my doctor’s appointments. About 2 weeks before I was "let go" I called HR and informed them that I needed to go on a Leave of Absence until I was able to control my medical conditions. Once my new information had been entered into the system, I was told that I would be assigned to a case manager, and to wait for her call. 2 weeks later I was fired. I FINALLY received a call from one of Aon’s HR Representatives TWO HOURS AFTER being escorted out of the building. 2. After being told that my services were “no longer needed” I asked for my belongings. I told the 2 managers in the room which items at my old desk were mine, the things I had paid for with MY money. I was informed that they would only bring my purse and medical supplies down to me and the rest of my belongings would be packed up and mailed to me later that week. I didn’t get my things that week, or the next. When I finally got “my things” HALF of my belongings were gone.

Pros

Great role to transition into the insurance industry. Many resources and opportunities to expand technical knowledge. Client visits are great if you like to travel. Lucky to have a manager who doesn’t micromanage. If you’re organized, driven, and good at communicating you’ll do great.

Cons

Can be stressful at times around busy renewal cycles. Travel often depending on industry and clients.
