They never do enough. - Staff Professional Antea Group Employee Review

Pros

Good enough work/life balance. I travel a lot for work, so if I'm able to hit 40 hours for the week by Thursday, I can take Friday off no questions asked. It is not consistent though, but I have done it many times over the past few years.

Cons

Where do I start? First off, I called them out on not properly paying overtime wages in Colorado. They "missed" the law about paying 1.5x for any day over 12 hours for an hourly employee. I did get back pay, but this should NOT happen in 2024. I am severely underpaid for the quality of work that I perform. I have coworkers who are paid more than me who have worked at this company for less than me, and they are clearly not good at their job. They do not adjust wages for the cost of living in a specific area. It's the same wage if you work in New York or Seattle or Columbus, even though all of those places have wildly different cost of livings. I've been here for about 2.5 years and there has been zero growth at all. The only way for me to receive a promotion is if the "stars align" and I quite frankly don't have time for that. I've been told it will be at least another year and a half before getting a promotion. As of today's date, the starting wage they have posted for a new hire is 25 cents less than me, someone who's been here for 2.5+ years. That's just not right.

Pros

Great place to work -- good people, respect for work/life balance, and a focus on relationships with clients (and eachother!) as opposed to only churning out mediocre work for the sake of short term/quick win profit. Flexibility and autonomy around schedules. Opportunity to be ambitious, creative, and entrepreneurial if you've got it in you, but no requirement to be.

Cons

Salaries & bonuses are lower than other firms doing similar work. Pro of work/life balance makes up for this. Some in leadership have been in their seats a long, long, long time. Leads one to wonder if we can be as innovative as competition requires.
