Pros

Work with wonderful people that are all hard workers......

Cons

I have have been at this company 21 years, it was previously West Corporation we had wonderful insurance benefits, we had a marketplace to choose from. We had paid holidays. We had wonderful pto and we had great tenure incentives. When Alorica took over we have seen NOTHING good come from them. They have more or less taken everything from us except the shirts on our backs. We are offered one insurance provider and it is way more expensive than it was with West. They decided to take away all staff benefits so that means they rolled out a new pto policy which we accrue pto, we used to get our bank of 168 hours all at once on our anniversary, so everyone that had pto issued on their anniversary date all but 80 hours was taken away from them, and anyone that was expecting to get their bank this year will be set at 0 as of Jan. 1 and we can only earn 4 hours of pto every payday, which comes out to maybe 120 hours for the years, so we will lose 48 hours we use to get with west. they had given us sick days and flex days but decided to take those away too, some people had already submitted to take them and were approved and then they decided to take them away and did not honor if people had taken them already before the announcement and were not paid for them. With West we used to get a great tenure incentives, we used to get a portfolio every 5 years with a certificate and prize options to choose from and every 5 years the gift would get bigger and bigger. I missed mine by a few weeks when Alorica took over so did not get my 20 years tenure gift. I have worked my butt of to get where I am today and they have just come and ripped it all away, I feel like I have started a job right out of high school, with cheap benefits with a high cost, no paid holidays and very little pto. 4 hours every pay day really? that is ridiculous. I had high hopes when alorica took over but they were all shattered really quick. Not to mention all their ways of doing things, it is like we have gone back in time with all of their systems. I wish I was still with West.....

Pros

Lunch lasts for 1 hour. Some managers are nice. Compensation is not bad for a call center job.

Cons

Contradictory set of info provided during training compared to later on, and sometimes you get penalized for providing honest information that you aren't prohibited from giving out. There's about seven million rules that you are expected to follow, and many of them are dumb. Some managers are annoying/jerks. Management gets really frustrated that customers leave from conversations dissatisfied even though we are literally calling them as Collections Agents for a credit card company to tell them they are thousands of dollars in debt. If you get 2 Compliance fails they fire you (and Compliance fails aren't just for regulatory things the company can get sued for). Expected to follow regulations that do not even apply to our particular company. (Newsflash! HIPAA does not apply to credit card companies!). Now if you get 4 dissatisfaction surveys from customers they fire you. (Getting fired at this job is extremely easy! I nearly got fired when I was reluctant to take a transfer call I was NOT authorized to take and upper management said I wasn't being a "good teammate" because of my reluctance to take the call.) Dissatisfaction surverys are also ridiculously hard to dispute. Customers are extremely horrible, foul-mouthed, stupid, vindictive and nasty. You get like 2 hours of PTO per month, which is about 2 days out of the entire year. No holiday pay - they will just send you home with no pay on Christmas. People steal your lunch if you put it in the company fridge. There's an oppressive atmosphere of complete misery that hangs over the whole building. If the company decides to move on to a different call center, they call a townhall meeting the day that it happens without any advance notice to let all the call center agents that they are being furloughed or let go. Also, they have confirmed finding a bed bug problem in the building. Run, run away!
