Pros

None Whatsoever - I cannot mention anything positive about this abortion of a company.

Cons

Poor Management - Total lack of management skills and how to deal with staff. Support when required is not there and line managers cannot deal with staffing issues, they have to run like little children to the head of the department - it is a case of another manager went to so and so about your comment. Grow a pair and deal with staff. After all that is what a manager should do. Very cloak and dagger and very cleeky. They tell you one thing then retract on it. Goal posts get moved all the time and if your face fits you have an slight advantage with the poor management. Poor Training - What training? I have never endured a company to lack with training and the delivery of the minimal training it offers. Everything in the way of training is a tick box exercise so it can be put in your file with HR. After 8 months with this crowd, I was not given the training they promised. Call Out Days - Like other staff, I got a diary invite to attend Call Out Days at the Office in Thornbury for one date then it was changed to another date resulting in us all having to play about with our diaries and reschedule appointments we had made and the majority of the Call Out Days were cancelled at short notice. I was advised that the reason for these Call Out Days was the fact that everyones portfolio was in deficit and we had to bring more money to the table. Funny how this was never mentioned at our interview as when myself and the other 3 staff commenced with Alexandra in the space of us all joining within 6 months of each other, we had this sprung on us pretty much as soon as we were got in the door on our 1st day. Anyway, we are all home based and it is such a farce as when in the office you get disturbed and you are more productive when working from home not to mention the monetary costs this is having on the company. No Duty of Care for Staff and Extension of Probation - I was unfortunate to have been involved in a non-fault Road Traffic Accident whilst conducting my duties for this company and although I was injured and struggled on, my Line Manager basically told me that I was unfit for work and to go see my GP. I was signed off work and have been for numerous medical tests and I am due to have surgery due to my injuries. I thought I was doing the right thing by working however this proved not to be the case. I endured a lot of pressure from my Line Manager and she told me to ask my GP when I would be likely to return to work and she wanted a date for my return. She also asked me what medication etc I was prescribed so that this could be cascaded back to HR. Firstly I should have not discussed this with a Line Manager and I should have never been put in that position. That should have been HR that asked such questions. I was given an Appointment by my Line Manager to meet with her for a"Welfare" visit and this was arranged for her to come to my home address. I was happy with that however it got changed and I had to go to one of the Local Offices and meet her. This was so unacceptable as I am off work sick and have restrictions however on the morning of the meeting I received a phone call to cancel the meeting and was advised by my Line Manager that it would be rearranged. Yet again Goal Posts being moved. Clearly this will be suffice to the huge lack in Duty of Care for a Staff Member. Fortunately I have retained the voicemails regarding this. Although I was on probation at the time of the accident, I got a letter to advise that my probation had been extended for 3 months due to being off due to a Work Related Accident which I could understand however, a few weeks later despite not having any meeting with a Manager or Representative from Alexandra, I got sacked without any reason. This is poor and as a company, they have breached my contract. Having spoken with colleagues who are also on probation, they advised that they also have had their probation extended and I was advised that it is due to not enough appointments being completed and not enough revenue being brought into the business. Pretty ironic when you are expected to go to the office to participate in call out days not to mention the amount of time these poor individuals have been made to take off the road to go and measure staff for garments for an account that is not their's and they will not get any bonus for doing this, not to mention the poor guy that was employed as a Regional Account Manager that had to drive the length and breadth of the country in a transit van shipping garments of clothing for these measuring days. What a joke. Commission - Do not expect to get paid Commission. Even the long term staff do not get paid commission. This was yet again a huge lie that was sold to me at my interview. You could bring in mega thousands of pounds and not get a penny to yourself. Alexandra is a pure rip off and I would seriously not recommend anyone to join the company. You are treated like cattle in this concentration camp off a business and I can see clearly how the company went into liquidation before and other staff members have mentioned this as well. The company is full off mood dependent back-stabbers that twist things to make themselves look good and will drop it on you from a great height. Seriously do not touch this company they are a joke and cannot deliver what they promise to both staff and clients alike and the poor management and company structure is completely shocking.
