Pros
The compensation and benefits are OK. Some locations have Starbucks on site. In general, the eye care business has been A good place to be employed. After a few years here, you can move to a better company.
Cons
Poor work life balance is common. The company seems to lack coherent business strategy and there are too many self serving managers who lack basic skill, decency and leadership. The culture in too many departments is one of fear, intimidation and insecurity. The new product pipeline seems very weak given the number of employees and the large budgets.
