Pros
Long overdue but Aculon definitely has pros. Fun projects and success was a big win. The CEO seemed to understand the importance of keeping the company aligned and working as a cohesive unit. Edward also did a good job at bringing reality back in the picture if the team was too caught up in finding a solution for a customer. Lab chemists were all very nice and intelligent people. If you’re a fun/goofy person with some thick skin it’s a good environment with relatable people.
Cons
Few negatives especially if you’re someone who likes that start up urgent vibe but at the same time likes having all the tools needed from a more established company. Occasionally emotions could run high and some people could lose their temper during stress (especially when it’s stress they had caused themselves!) but I felt generally supported when that happened by our CEO and office manager. This high emotion definitely attributed to sometimes trying to force things to work. However, sometimes that unregulated passion/emotion finds solutions that otherwise wouldn’t have been considered. Other times it can create conflicts!
