Pros

1. Fantastic Client list with an opportunity to learn many different areas of expertise 2. Wonderful European staff - Very welcoming, friendly and helpful all around

Cons

1. Unreasonable expectations set on staff to juggle day to day duties 2. Inadequate services available for those seeking assistance with work/life balance 3. Severe and utter lack of internal communication and ownership of issues/problems amongst employees at all levels of the company 4. Management completely and utterly out of touch with their staff, and are more interested in the whatever Social Media bandwagon is 'in town' 5. Talking about Staff behind their backs - I have personally seen several instances of this, and not since my days in Secondary School (High School for you N.A's) have I seen such behaviour from 'Adults'. If you have something to say, make it public and own the comments, do not speak behind peoples backs in this day and age. 6. The daily struggles with the companies 'values' versus your own moral values and work ethic - This is subjective, but anyone who has a 'good working' ethic will understand very quickly what I am referring to. And finally, a very important point to make. Juxtaposition. If you and the company fail to see eye to eye on values or approaches to situations, the company's reaction will be to penalise, or at the least will be to 'attempt' to. Again, a disconnect from reality is evident here, for a company which claims to ‘endeavour to do and better’ and ‘stand for change’, you cannot dig your heels in the sand or penalized those you are met with, when an opportunity for change, or an opportunity to incorporate a new method of doing things.

Pros

I’ve been working as an SDR at Absorb LMS for about three months now, and my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. Coming into my first role in tech sales, I wasn’t sure what to expect, especially after hearing how challenging and sometimes discouraging others’ first experiences can be, but this has been the complete opposite. I’ve been able to ramp up much faster than I anticipated, and a huge part of that comes down to the support system here. The managers and my colleagues are incredibly approachable and genuinely invested in helping each other succeed. It’s a very comfortable environment where asking for help or guidance is encouraged, not judged, and that’s allowed me to grow and improve at a much faster pace. In just a short time, I’ve already seen strong personal progress, and it’s equally motivating to see others on my team achieving success as well. That shared momentum creates a really energizing atmosphere where everyone is pushing to get better and celebrating each other’s wins along the way. One thing that really stands out is how much the company values performance and recognizes achievements. Wins, big or small, are acknowledged and celebrated in a way that keeps you motivated and striving to maintain that level of success. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction into tech sales. This role has not only been a great learning experience but also a very encouraging one. It’s given me confidence in my ability to grow within this field, and I’m excited to continue developing my skills and eventually work toward becoming an AE.

Pros

When I first joined Absorb, I was really shocked at how nice, genuine, and helpful everyone (regardless of their team or department) was. Now that I've been here for more than a handful of months, that no longer surprises me, but it still rings true. There really are no egos here, and I've never experienced a company culture quite like that before. On the Account Management side, this makes a huge difference to how we can help drive customer success, as everyone leans in to work together cross-functionally. Recently, there have been some changes on the Account Management side with books being rebalanced so that each AM has more balance based on their segment, and so that customers get the best support. Throughout this process, leadership has transparently communicated, set up multiple calls to answer questions, built out resources, and aimed to make the transition as seamless as possible both for AMs as well as customers. I've had the chance to partner with other teams on projects, the opportunities to get involved in areas that you are passionate about at Absorb are definitely there, just need to raise your hand and make it known! The positive culture and changes on the AM side, as well as the opportunities to get involved in additional projects, make every day exciting.

Cons

The only cons for me are that I wish we had unlimited PTO (although, the PTO policy is generous, I think this piece is more so personal preference) and that Slack/Google was used instead of the Microsoft suite.
