It is a job, better than living on the street

You must live in Chicago to get promoted. Management does not know how to run an AV company. They have eliminated the training program. No real processes in place that lead to a quality install, except for a 700 page playback that was written by idiots, but don't worry about that cause no one reads it anyway. Always trying to role out something new, only because their last idea failed. Employees and customers are just a number. It is a good ole boy network, not worry about getting a nationwide account because those are already given to their drinking buddy. Sales training in Tampa is just an excuse to get drunk and sleep with vendors and co workers. Better get a good salary cause you will not make commission.

Pros

Regionally dominant, opportunity for growth is there. Steady work, and management seems to let onsite techs do their best without micromanaging. The service team is top-notch if you ever need to lean on them.

Cons

Benefits. they need to address benefits to help retain top-end talent. PTO and vesting schedule is a little weak. LOTS of middle management in some areas. Health prems and 401k match are also not so great
