Pros
Gives you good experience in a retail environment, really helps develop strong customer service and teamwork skills. The team I worked with were really friendly and supportive, especially during busy periods, which was super helpful. As long as the customer queries were handled well and the shelves were kept fully stocked, organised and presentable, shifts went by fast enough.
Cons
The role could become very busy and fast paced during peak periods, such as back to school and Christmas. There were often mutiple customers needing assistance at the same time, which could sometimes be challening to manage. As managers could not always be everywhere at once during busy periods, getting guidance or support immediately was occasionally difficult.
