Pros

I found the leadership and staff of ARYSE to be kind and generous people. There was a lot of freedom and flexibility in how the professional staff was allowed to complete their responsibilities.

Cons

Since culture "fit" is highly valued at ARYSE, it is incredibly important for anyone considering working with them to understand what those values are. First and foremost their mission is to "Honor God" in all they do. That is not lip service. From what I'd gathered, the flavor of Christianity that the leadership subscribes to is a conservative evangelical Christianity where prayer and piety equates to wealth and success, anti-evolution pseudo-science is commonplace, and the church's leadership uses its political influence to defund public schools, suppress the LGBTQA community, and take away women's reproductive rights. Now, it must be said that ARYSE does NOT require employees to share these values nor do they place any requirement on their staff being Christian at all, but working with them might make you uncomfortable if your values are antithetical to theirs. I say this because prayer before company-wide meals and during staff meetings is common. Plus, a portion of the company's profits are donated to like-minded Christian-based charitable organizations. Additionally, members of the company's leadership are vocal proponents of the anti-abortion movement and use their professional platform to advocate for political action in this area. ARYSE is also a family business—which they are rightfully proud of. So, it should not come as a surprise that there is a certain amount of nepotism involved in their hiring practices. When an opening is available, they will give preference in hiring or promoting to a family member or close friend, even if that person is less qualified for that position than others. That is entirely their right to do so. To address the matter of compensation, yes, ARYSE pays below industry standard for professional staff and the benefits are not great even by startup standards. This along with the nepotism typically results in less experienced people filling key roles within the company. This can result in fresh innovative ideas, but it can also end up with a certain amount of confusion for those looking for direction and professional mentoring.

Thank you for your feedback. We do our best to honor God in how we run our company and give back with what He blesses us with. My hope is that this involves loving people well and treating them with dignity and respect. We have employed people of all different beliefs and lifestyles and do not discriminate. The amazing thing about living in America is that we can have varying opinions and still respect and love one another.
