Pros

Some of your coworkers are great

Cons

To echo others... the CEO/Owner ruins any glimmer of happiness. It is astonishing to watch someone tear down her employees day after day. It’s embarrassing to walk through the building and hear her employees openly talk about how much they don’t like her. Most of your day-to-day is not given to you from your manager, it’s last-minute tasks from the CEO who then turns around and freaks out that nothing is planned in advance enough. No one can get their head above water. The COVID19 response is an absolute joke. There are stricter rules about eating gluten in the office than there are about the current GLOBAL health crisis. None of the 30+ people employees want to be at the office because there are little to no real safety precautions. Everything put in to place is the absolute bare minimum (wipe down surfaces, wear a mask in meetings, wash your hands). Instead of this internet based e-commerce company working from home indefinitely, everyone is required to come to the brand-new office space because... the CEO wants us here.

Pros

Despite how miserable this experience has been, coworkers have been wonderful and surprisingly supportive. Without that support, frustration would have pushed me to leave long ago.

Cons

- Working for AMMD stands as the worst professional experience I have ever endured. Employees are treated as if basic respect does not matter, and staff are pushed far past reasonable limits almost every single day. - Workloads are crushing and overwhelming. Deadlines are unrealistically tight, and longer hours become unavoidable just to keep up. The absence of real support makes burnout almost inevitable. - Beyond the constant strain, the experience is deeply unrewarding. Pay is insultingly low and completely disconnected from the amount of work expected. - Loyalty means nothing. Even long service brings no raises, and once usefulness fades, employees are quickly discarded. - If you are considering applying for a position at AMMD, think very carefully before making that decision.
