Pros
Role is very flexible, if you want to gain more experience and move up in the ranks all you need to do is ask, but if you don't you won't be pushed to take on more than is required of you. You get the benefits of the cohesiveness and standards of a large corporation as well as the benefits of a small business because of the small store size and open/close times.
Cons
There are a lot more 'gift' benefits working for other retail companies, here there's no store discount, the only employee benefits that stand out to me are hotel, car rental and BUPA discounts. This isn't too bad though, as if you're used to more benefits you forget about them pretty quick. This might be attributed to my store specifically, but there is just no time to completely tidy the store and warehouse every day. This means that there's dust and crap in the corners of shelves and floors that can't be reached with a quick sweep, and detailed cleaning is only done on certain things that are listed on the intermittent cleaning schedule.
