Pros
The pay was extremely competitive at the time, 12.50 part-time in 2019. Everyone raves about the chairs but they're not that great long-term (see cons).
Cons
At Aldi, you are treated like a robot by your employer. You have to go over your daily stats with a manager at the end of every shift and examine where you could be faster in the check-out process. It is extremely hard to reach a manager at peak times, so if a customer is irate, you don't have the support you need. It is considered a nuisance to call upon your coworkers to help with a growing line. The chairs are only an obstacle as you race to sling carts up against your till.
