Pros

Allowances for gas and cellphone, unlimited data on your iPad. Decent commissions if you make sales

Cons

90% of sales are from self generated leads. Practically this means that unless you are incredibly resourceful or are great at cold calling, you won't make it. I estimate that about 30% of employees quit the first month and another 25% by the end of month 2. It's cutthroat survival of the fittest. Management is of little help. They just review the metrics and hardly ever fire anyone. Since it's commission based, why fire someone if you're not paying them anything? Just keep them until they quit. I've been here for 6 months. I started making decent sales in November and December, but after the new year rolled through everything has stopped.

Pros

I've worked for the company for 40+ years, I'm treated with respect and my efforts are recognized by my Director and other ADT leaders. They give me the autonomy to manage my department and value my experience and insight. They offer a solid benefits package. ADT leads by example with their cultural markers and ensures that rules and laws are followed. I love the collaboration I have with our other departments.

Cons

Obviously, we all want more money, especially given the prices of everything, it's always nice to make more money, but I've checked the compensation and benefits in similar positions outside of ADT and I feel ADT is paying a fair wage and when I factor in the benefits package, they are above average in overall compensation.
