Pros

1. The money 2. career development 3. Character building 4. Sales training 5. The name ADT can be a great opportunity for those who aren't interested in a work/life balance. If you're single and you just want to accumulate wealth, ADT can really work for you. For most people, you must work 6/7 days a week for the first 6 months to be sucessful. In my 6th week I made $2,300. From there I averaged $1,600/week for 5 months. Also. it is a job that is best suited for certain personalities and backgrounds. Ideally, it will help if you have a lot of contacts in the area you are working (duh). Also, it helps if you have zero social fear. Very few people have zero, by the way. If you want money and nothing else in the WORLD matters, give it shot. Also, the sales training is great and this job will give you skills that you can take anywhere (at a cost, see "cons")

Cons

1. Management- all teirs 2. Stress/pressure 3. Zero work/life balance 4. Product and process training is nonexistent 5. authorized dealers? ADT is very much a 20th century corporation with a culture that is marked by greed and shortsightedness. While cash is the lifeblood of any organization, ADT's myopic greed prevents the organization from solving problems and improving processes. At the top are some Tyco Suits that have zero clue how or where the rubber hits the road. They just know what's good for their stocks and shareholder value in the short term. They then compile their aloofness into turds and funnel it all the way down, eventually reaching the sales managers (Sms) of the various districts. The SMs either generally lack good leadership acumen and well-roundedness, or are simply unable to improve processes and solve problems because of the myriad of turds they receive from above. My theory is that if you are less educated or otherwise skilled, you will be more likely to stick with this job. The fact is that the job can be so demanding, you will eventually say to yourself, "I can do better". I did. As far as the stress goes, get a prescription to Xanex and you'll be fine.

Pros

I've worked for the company for 40+ years, I'm treated with respect and my efforts are recognized by my Director and other ADT leaders. They give me the autonomy to manage my department and value my experience and insight. They offer a solid benefits package. ADT leads by example with their cultural markers and ensures that rules and laws are followed. I love the collaboration I have with our other departments.

Cons

Obviously, we all want more money, especially given the prices of everything, it's always nice to make more money, but I've checked the compensation and benefits in similar positions outside of ADT and I feel ADT is paying a fair wage and when I factor in the benefits package, they are above average in overall compensation.

Pros

Pros I truly enjoy working at ADT. I have the flexibility of a hybrid schedule, which allows for a great work-life balance. The company offers generous PTO, and more importantly, actively encourages employees to take the time they need to recharge. There’s also a strong sense of job security. ADT is consistently growing, and the steady flow of new hire classes reflects that stability. In my role, I get the opportunity not only to help people start their careers, but also to coach and support agents as they grow professionally and personally. Seeing that development firsthand is incredibly rewarding. On top of that, I work with an amazing team. The people here are supportive, collaborative, and genuinely care about each other’s success, which makes a huge difference in the day-to-day experience.

Cons

While compensation is generally competitive, I would love to see more opportunities for performance-based bonuses to help employees further grow their savings and feel rewarded for their contributions. Additionally, there is some opportunity for improvement in how the building facilities are managed to enhance the overall workplace environment.
