Pros

Met some really fantastic people there – incredibly kind, intelligent, and great to be around. Too bad they’re wasting away at a company like that. The industry has great perspective and their offering at the moment is very interesting and competitive.

Cons

There’s zero communication between senior management and regular folk – the board just comes up with ridiculous demands and changes them every five seconds. In fact, there also seems to be very little (healthy) communication within the upper management, so all the decisions are just random. They talk of “work-life balance”, but there is none. Never have I ever seen people so overworked, exhausted, and burned-out as on my team. They work 8+ hours every day, spend all days in pointless meetings that go well beyond regular working hours, they are asked to urgently do impossible things that require them to work even longer hours, and then it turns out “a decision was made” that what they were working on is no longer needed. They also have very hierarchical structures where everyone’s afraid of their manager. People had an extreme sense of superiority, some managers’ behavior was clearly racist and/or sexist, some behaviors were borderline mobbing, but apparently by German standards that’s perfectly normal in the corporate world.

Pros

Hybrid/flexible work location, pretty office.

Cons

Overall lack of communication and strategy throughout the entire company. Moral is low and debt is high. All departments are understaffed and overworked.

Pros

Company is using latest technologies and processes. Not too much bureaucracy. Easy on remote and work-life balance is good enough.

Cons

Lacks stability in terms of financials. Cash negative due to some decisions are being made too late and some projects overestimations.
