Good pay and remote work overshadowed by confusion and layoffs

Cons
No training or clear idea of job role and expectations. Rolling layoffs happened constantly. It seemed like a whole layer of bureaucracy was just added on top of the operations department with that whole layer being entirely new employees. Operations had always worked without project management. The directors would just run and manage their own projects Then when pms were added, there was not a clear idea of our role as projects were still run by the directors and there was no plan to change that Project management wasn't part of operations but reported to the vp of business transformation, who did not have a clear idea of her role or ours then would react aggressively if you didn't guess her expectations. Her senior pm was just as bad but got laid off for her bad behavior right after I started. I felt like our role was to report to upper management on what ops was doing. Weirdest job I've ever had. I had no real role on the projects and no responsibility other than to report on what ops was doing.
