The design studio is a chronic poor performer and has trouble getting acceptable work to clients in a timely fashion. Management of the construction department has been more consistent than design studio, but is still ragged and unfocused. Blaming subordinates for managerial ineptitude is a common theme in both the design and construction departments. Management's unwarranted and exalted opinion of their own skill set precludes them benefiting from well-meaning advice. Constructive self-reflection does not seem to be present there.

The owner is pathetic. She can't hold onto good employees. Throw out any notions that you will have about an orderly workplace. It's basically a feudal enterprise run by a dictator who seems to make decisions based on her mood that day without any thought or strategic planning or what time of day (normally after 4:00) she decides to come in the office. She belittles and talks down to people like they are a piece of trash under a bridge, She lacks basic leadership skills, nothing is ever her fault, and takes no accountability for her actions or the way that she or a certain member on her Executive staff treats people. Additionally, if she doesn't like you, everyone in the office will know because she will tell them. She has no idea of what company confidentiality is and how to keep her mouth closed when it relates to personnel matters. It’s useless to go to HR or any other member of the leadership team because they’re all weak, afraid and need a paycheck.
