This company has been completely ravaged by private equity. Senior members of the team, with long tenures, were removed and either not replaced, or replaced with a friend-of-a-friend. The company is, as a result, completely directionless. What started as an issue in one or two departments quickly spread to all - it’s now impossible to point to a department that is operating efficiently or to the level it was only a couple of years ago. And to be clear, it’s not the staff who are to blame for this, it’s the leadership, who (either through arrogance or stupidity) arrive in the company and within weeks are making snap decisions that backfire, leaving everybody in a worse position. Many members of staff join the business, only to be let go after a few months - team morale has never been worse, and the leadership has shown absolutely no interest in turning this around over the past 12 months. In addition, the company continues to bleed money, whilst paying their C-suite top dollar, and filling the office with consultants who spend longer getting to grip with the job than actually doing the job. The company is being slowly dismantled to line a few pockets, and by the time Apollo realises it, it’ll be too late.
