Unpredictable, reactive, overly-emotional senior management. Plenty of changes of direction without communication, employees need to be masterful at second-guessing management decisions. C-Level hires over recent times have lasted on average about 10 months before they walk away. Regular promotion of the wrong people into the wrong roles for the wrong reasons - the business has an online operation that is a priority for growth, but they placed a non-technical, non-operational member of staff from a completely unrelated department to oversee online operations. Just because you're a good analyst, it doesn't make you a good marketeer or product owner... The results were predictable a long way out by everyone but senior management.
HR are cartoonish - a comedy parody of what HR should be, with self-preservation and backstabbing being the order of the day rather than ensuring a happy, productive team within a sensible, transparent HR framework. Ultimately senior management listens to HR, whether they are correct of whether they are simply making up rumours about non-favoured employees, leading to the kind of errors mentioned above.
