Pros

1. Working with advanced technology 2. Great engineers 3. Have an opportunity to travel to Dubai 4. Attend top tech events

Cons

1. Very poor working culture: Management have no self respect towards themselves as well as their employees, they view staff as commodities in which they settle for slavery as a working ethic. Many times have I witnessed holidays being rejected without any valid reason or justification. Management have a lack of empathy towards a balance of work and home. 2. Fraudulent academics: Academic lecturers and professors who work at the company work as advisors have zero level understanding of robotics whatsoever. With the snare of poor quality judgement they dig into fields in which they have zero experience of and dictate towards actual professionals on how work should be done (the irony). 3. Being rewarded an assistant randomly: Particular indviduals who work as managers, especially within Marketing recieve assistant 4. Lack of technical understanding: All project managers and leads have a very poor understanding of any engineering project, as a result projects are rushed and the quality of working performance as well as the outcome of a project goes below low. Personally one of the managers who were given to manage a project I was working on told me a robot could be delivered to a client within 2 months, which is insane. 5. Friendship over skill: This is a huge con and should be considered when applying to this company, management seem to only hire their friends, especially in the London office. Friends who had no technical skill or any other skill that was relevant to the business would not be a factor in the hiring process. This made management very weak and very stupid. Individuals who came from working in retail and cinemas were hired as Marketing leads and Operations. This is not how a startup should function. 6. Lack of training and support: Training and support was promised by management countless times however those who needed it were rejected. On many occasions junior engineers were pleading for help however technical managers rejected. 7. Not being paid: This is a huge one to watch out for, there were times people were not paid for 3 months, this was insane and when asked about not being paid management would make threats. 8. Useless threats: Management not to be named made countless threats to those who challenged how projects progressed, this was such childish behaviour. Management would often claim that they could do an engineers job (they all have business degrees). 9. Affairs in the office: It was stated strictly on every employee contract and was a very huge policy that no employee was to have any type of relationship whatsoever. However this did not stop management, management were organising pool parties with the female staff outside of work, particular managers started having secret relationships. This is nasty behaviour. 10. Racism: Countless times racial slurs were thrown around the workplace, specifically towards indians and chinese. Absolutely disgusting.

Pros

The true benefit of working for this company WAS the employees. They are the most amazing engineers/friends/family you can ever have within a company. I say "was", as they all have, including myself, been driven out of the company, which to this day and the days to come, will forever be grateful for the freedom we have attained away from this horrendous company! Leaving this company will be the most satisfying, relieving and enlightening experience that will never be forgotten!

Cons

Here are an interminable number points that I can mention on top of what my fellow former colleagues have mentioned in their reviews: 1. No work-life balance - that isn't the worst part. They expect you to work 18hrs as a means of showing gratitude for them hiring you in the first the place! 2. Fraud - Since the origination of the company, they have continuously and, quite shockingly, proudly lied to every client on the validity of their projects - taking lump sums of project funding that is wasted away on anything but their employees. And instead, resort to withholding salary for months on end; a continuous activity, which the company feels justified in doing so - a horrible practice for any modern employer to ever endorse and get away with! 3. Management - This a retail based company and not a technology-driven company and that was very apparent in the first few weeks of working. There are no technical managers in this company who know the complexity of any project that is being undertaken. They are living in a dream world where their demands must be met or you are an enemy to them - and they will treat you as such, through degradation of racial discrimination; as is the company's norm. 4. Physical and mental health - The work, as interesting and enjoyable as it was, should never be taken as a higher priority than your own health. A notion that is entirely dismissed by the company and is looked upon as a form of weakness: "Man up", was a phrase used quite often, even by HR! The workplace had become a poisonous environment leading to myself and others feeling very negative, day in, day out with no hope of the situation changing; simply flabbergasted by the lack of care and concern from the directors and managers in the company. 5. Lack of collaboration - This point comes back to management - how can there be a lead engineer or a technical director who never once engages with his team? Never once discloses the project plans? And never once encourages teamwork? The leadership in this company is twisted to having a mind-set of insecurity and distrust. There are no discussions, no meetings and no acknowledgements from any suggestions given by us engineers. They are all dismissed due to being "wrong" and "irrelevant" as those ideas are not what they have come up with. This type of mentality has led to an unavoidable annoyance and a severe lack of feeling valued within the company and did ultimately led me, and several others, to finding a new job. To summarise, this company does not deserve a sliver of redemption - they have treated all their employees as though we were slaves, whose sole purpose was to satisfy their outrageously and incomprehensible dreams. They have naught the slightest inkling of concern for you and will take full advantage of any naivety you may have. The employee retention rate of the company is staggeringly appalling and should be a major red flag in ever deciding to apply for this company. They may look amazing on paper to the outside world, but inside the company, you will be dealing with snakes, jealousy and an overall wonder as to how the company is still surviving - stay away if you ever value your integrity and self-respect.
