Pros

I worked at Debox for around 2.5 years, and it was an amazing experience. When I joined, I was transitioning into the marketing field from a completely different background, so there was a lot for me to learn. Throughout my journey, I received incredible support from Darshan and my manager, Heta, who consistently guided me and helped me learn and grow. One of the highlights of my time here was getting the opportunity to visit one of our clients in the USA, with the entire trip sponsored by the company. This reflects the faith and trust they place in their employees and was an experience I'll always be grateful for. Like any agency, there are naturally busy periods and challenges along the way, and not everyone's experience will be the same. However, my personal experience has been very positive, and the learning and growth I gained during my time here have been invaluable. The company also makes an effort to keep employees engaged through quarterly team dinners and annual offsites, which provide a great opportunity to relax, unwind, and connect with colleagues outside of work. Overall, I'm grateful for my time at Debox and for the people who helped shape my professional journey.

Cons

One aspect of agency life is that there can occasionally be periods of increased workload around important deadlines, which may sometimes require working on a Saturday. However, I found these instances to be quite rare and limited to only a handful of times throughout the year.

Pros

Pros are practically non-existent. Any perceived positives during hiring or onboarding fade quickly once you experience the day-to-day reality of the organization.

Cons

This company presents itself as a high-growth, opportunity-driven environment, but the reality is the complete opposite. The experience is marked by poor leadership, lack of structure, and practices that raise serious concerns around professionalism and employee treatment. Major issues: - Compensation & compliance concerns: Payslips are not consistently provided, there is little to no transparency around PF or statutory benefits, and employees risk not receiving full dues upon exit - Unprofessional management: Decisions are inconsistent, often reactive, and lack basic structure or accountability - Culture of control: Long working hours are normalized, and even leaving on time can lead to guilt-tripping or subtle pressure. Working Saturdays is treated as standard practice, often with little to no meaningful work assigned—attendance appears to matter more than productivity. - No respect for boundaries: Breaks such as lunch or personal time are not treated with basic professionalism and the management lacks respect for personal boundaries, occasionally bringing employees’ personal matters into professional discussions when it is not appropriate. - Bias-driven environment: Certain individuals appear to have disproportionate influence, leading to decisions based on favoritism and internal narratives rather than facts - Lack of transparency: There is minimal open communication, and employees are often left guessing about expectations and decisions - Misleading promises: The company attracts talent with claims of growth, flexibility, monetary benefits and strong learning opportunities, but fails to provide the structure or support to deliver on any of them - Arbitrary role and pay decisions: Changes in responsibilities or compensation can feel unjustified and are often attributed vaguely to “performance” without clear feedback Overall, the organization lacks the professionalism, systems, and integrity expected from a serious workplace. The gap between what is promised and what is actually delivered is significant enough that anyone considering joining should approach with extreme caution.
