Pros

Competent founders, friendly colleagues, good pay.

Cons

A startup with a Board-CSuite-VP-Director-Manager-Worker hierarchy where 60+ hour work weeks are typical. Excessive trackers and 'update summaries' add hours to an already packed schedule. Internal proposals are rejected as attacks against the competence of the leadership.

Pros

The company was lots of fun in its early days - not so much anymore. Junior and middle-tier employees are still enjoyable to work with.

Cons

- Promotions with new titles and responsibilities, but no pay increases - Lost count after 4-5 rounds of layoffs - No product-market fit, basically a cash-burning, investor nightmare - Low renewals, new deals disappear into thin air, the GTM team is basically non-existent - Pretty toxic work environment, CEO expects everyone to be like him, which means employees with families are liabilities in getting things done - The company probably will have to raise a down round to stay afloat - that's if any investors still believe in the cause -
