Lack of professionalism in the leadership. There are no professionals above you to learn from.
There are constant changes. That’s expected in a startup, but at Darrow it seems to stem from a lack of clear direction and from difficulties building a true technology product (it is currently more of a manual service company).
Most importantly, the amount of effort the company puts into showing how great it is to work there (posts, photos, encouraging employees to fill out “best workplace” surveys, etc.) is directly proportional to what it’s actually like to work there. The company tends to fire employees harshly, and many others resign as it feels like a “sinking ship.”
Overall, the sense is that those who stay are mainly looking for stability, not professionalism, growth, or challenge. Look on LinkedIn for someone who worked there in the past and ask why they left — that will give you the real picture.
