Pros

* Interesting and uncommon domain * Good tech * Great culture and atmosphere * Incredible WLB

Cons

* Company took lots of time to reach product maturity and focus its exact goals, but that's somewhat expected as it's a pioneer in its domain * AFAIK my salary is lower than the market average, even after a couple of raises

Pros

Day to day work varies and is very interesting and challenging. You get experience with various different areas of the law and participate on projects that you wouldn't get to at a traditional law firm. Also, there are no billable hours!

Cons

Though the job is more flexible than law firms, sometimes extended hours are required.

Pros

Beautiful office. Benefits like FreeFit, long weekends, etc.

Cons

Lack of professionalism in the leadership. There are no professionals above you to learn from. There are constant changes. That’s expected in a startup, but at Darrow it seems to stem from a lack of clear direction and from difficulties building a true technology product (it is currently more of a manual service company). Most importantly, the amount of effort the company puts into showing how great it is to work there (posts, photos, encouraging employees to fill out “best workplace” surveys, etc.) is directly proportional to what it’s actually like to work there. The company tends to fire employees harshly, and many others resign as it feels like a “sinking ship.” Overall, the sense is that those who stay are mainly looking for stability, not professionalism, growth, or challenge. Look on LinkedIn for someone who worked there in the past and ask why they left — that will give you the real picture.
