      Pros

      - having worked at Technicolor (MPC & Mr.X) I know how toxic this industry can be, which is why I was so pleasantly delighted when I joined DNEG and saw how they run the studio. Not only are you treated like a human being and given an amazing work life balance. OT isn't crazy like at Technicolor. No racism or inappropriate conduct, again unlike Technicolor. - Great training when you join - The nicest recruiters I've ever dealt with, honest and actually care. - Outstanding Managers - Transparency - Care about your career growth - Did I mention work life balance, because again work life balance !!!!! - To those saying Technicolor and DNEG are the same clearly have never worked at both before. DNEG is the standard for what studios in this industry should strive to be.

      - Not every project is going to be amazing, but that's like every studio and the team actually listens and tries to put you on work you enjoy.

      Dealing with a lot of turnover; need to find better ways to attract and retain talent. Need to improve employer brand and reputation.

      Pros

      Some of the best projects in VFX. Amazing teammates, local management, and art teams who truly care about their work. Great work-life balance. Good benefits. Promising new CTO.

      Cons

      Unresponsive global management who micromanage the most basic decisions at the local level. Relatively low salaries. Lack of trust between sites.

      Pros

      Production shown efforts to better the system/promotion/pay. Great team environment! Awesome benefits. Surprisingly, didn't have to do so much overtime.

      Cons

      Need to have higher management to loosen pockets a bit more, especially after pay cut of 20-25%. Lots of other studios are offering better pay, and flexible opportunities to move up the ladder. Way overdue with yearly performance review/raise (due to Covid), but we can only blame so much on Covid..especially given the fact that there are numerous shows awarded to the studio. They have to compensate the artist and production team better so that they can keep the key people.

      Health benefits after 3 months Great resources and workshops for mental health, burnout, leadership growth Production contract extensions average 6 months or more Committed to supporting career advancement and personal growth Management is understanding, flexible, and supportive in finding a job title that best suits personality and work style

      More overtime than initially outlined, but that's typical of the industry Premature career advancement in leadership roles, not enough experience Each site has very different pipeline/operations, which makes it difficult when working on a cross-site show
