Pros

Great place to work. They are working on cutting edge technology there. The environment is similar to the one encountered in academics while doing MS or PhD and you have the option to do PhD with the work which you do there. The work life balance is excellent.

Cons

Nothing much. As it is a government company, therefore the salaries are low compared to similar jobs in private sector.

Pros

its good for students fresh of university, usually they do not perceive the bad things here, and are easily impressed as they do not have any other work experience to compare. because of their lack of experience they are also not abused, as there is not much they can do...

Cons

MY review is for DLR in Wessling : not good place for people with some experience. not good place to make PhD, not good for people without connections that are just scientist which would like to work on these topics. there is a lack of knowledge here, very chaotic, good people are neglected or mobbed. (yes there is mobbing here, and its not little). unfairness in the treatment of employees, employees which are privileged because of who their are friends or Whos their family is are treated as gold, the other ones that do all the work, many extra hours, receive no recognition and if they live that place they get as default a bad certificate, and of course a bad reputation so that other people thing is their fault. This place has destroyed the career of many good people, it takes some time for them to get up, but they will because they are good. There is almost no chance for carrer, only through connections, most of the competent people leave this place....
