We recognize that the onboarding experience can be a time of significant growth and change. To help ease the transition to a new role, expectations for onboarding timelines are either documented in the offer letter, onboarding plans, or a combination of both, depending on the position. To promote continuous development, managers and employees meet weekly to discuss personal and company goals, and we offer a career coach at no charge to employees through our Employee Assistance Program. While many companies have a “trial” or “temporary” period for new hires, DASI has never had such a policy. It is our philosophy that those policies create uncertainty and negatively impact performance. Benefits generally become available sooner than 90 days, which is dependent on hire date. We depend on long term relationships with our employees and customers. A few of our offices have employees pay city taxes, and Pontiac is one of them. We will be amending our offer letters to bring more awareness to this. Thank you for your feedback.

Pros

There is a great incentive to working here if you want to progress your own skills as a SolidWorks application engineer, as you will go through many training programs that typically cost a lot of money for free, and working through more user problems than you can ever imagine.

Cons

The company is based on metrics and statistics that do not necessarily correlate with good customer service. You are rated on on how fast you can get through tickets, and how many tickets you work through a day, rather than how thoroughly you can help customers.

We welcome all feedback at DASI Solutions, so we’re thankful for any feedback we receive. With respect to metrics, we have many that we use to guide us. While the volume and time spent on support tickets is an important metric for the team and individuals, it is just one of many metrics and is not tied to overall customer satisfaction. One of our more important metrics related to customer satisfaction comes from a short survey which is distributed after support cases are addressed. Quality is never sacrificed in the name of quantity. We are extremely proud of our support team and value the contributions they provide.

Pros

I feel that I could make a lifetime career out of what I do at DASI. I feel I can make a difference doing what I love. The environment is family-like. The workload is varied and challenging.

Cons

Sometimes I spend time after-hours trying to get things done. Some tasks/roles can be overwhelming. Customers' expectations can be difficult to manage.
