Pros

Passionate CEO. Decent office and location. Charitable.

Cons

Below-average salaries, non-transparent bonus and profit sharing structure, no management training/coaching or mentoring, constantly trying to rebrand and reinvent itself, the culture that is preached is most definitely not practiced. People in general operations roles lack industry knowledge and are not encouraged or held responsible for educating themselves. Titles are inflated and an excessive amount of attention is paid to retitling individuals and playing around with the look of the org chart. Constant turnover.

I regret that you left RMB with this perception, even though it is not supported by facts. We strive to be thoughtful and appropriately transparent in our communications. I would welcome a conversation to discuss your feedback and clear up any confusion. Jennifer Rydwelski

Pros

They hire people freshly out of college into entry level admin positions (through hiring company, though). Good for people wanting to get into finance industry without much experience.

Cons

Low salary compared to other firms. Very little pay raise. Promised profit sharing, received none. A lot of gossip within the office, which causes conflict between departments. Some advisors have a big head, which results in poor management. You'll be fine there if you plan on staying in an entry level position for 5+ years.
