I worked at CrossLend full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Inspiring idea by the founder, nice work environment supporting a good team spirit.

    Cons

not good on implementation, lack of experience in markets that is being targeted and securitization,

    Advice to Management

Get some good securitization people into the company, give proper incentivization, upgrade your legal transaction team. take on board constructive criticism. get your IT people to work as they seem to be sitting around all day doing nothing that enhances the business. Listing to expert opinions and address it in implementation.

    Neutral Outlook

    I worked at CrossLend full-time

    Pros

Some hard working, talented and motivated colleagues among the group. Pleasant physical working space. Ping pong.

    Cons

Leadership team seem not genuinely open to feedback or constructive criticism, leading to reluctance to communicate openly and honestly within the company. Apparent lack of structure and transparency concerning professional development and company vision. Confusing reporting lines, characterized by a centralization of responsibility towards largely hands-off supervisors. Non-existent performance management... processes.

    Advice to Management

Could learn to embrace feedback from staff, many of whom seem to have more relevant experience than management.

    I worked at CrossLend full-time

    Pros

There are still a few people in the company. Competent people. Nice office.

    Cons

No transparency at all. They say we are all equal, but the truth is some are more equal than others. No communication from Management downwards. No clear vision of what to do.

    Advice to Management

Start listening to the employees. Do not undermine their abilities. Stop being arrogant and believing you own the truth.

    I worked at CrossLend full-time

    Pros

Nice offices and the new coffee machine works well.

    Cons

    - Management has no vision for the company, its products or its future; - Company actually has no real product, but rather it found a non-existent problem and created a very complex "solution" for it; - No feedback to employees and the circle of decision-making is all kept-closed door; - Management is completely unable to take criticism in any way and this defect has advanced to the point of absurdity; -... Employee turnover is exceptionally high -- to the point that making interpersonal relationships with your coworkers seems to be a fools errand; - It feels as if there is "contempt" for employees by management; - Management holds out a set of rules for employees, which they themselves don't adhere to; and - Deceptive hiring practices. Before you take a job with CrossLend, you *SHOULD* be asking in the interview: 1) How high is employee turnover in this department I am applying for; 2) Whom am I replacing and why did my potential predecessor leave; 3) Will I receive feedback at the three month-mark from the person or person(s) who has the authority to terminate me?

    Advice to Management

You guys need to really sit down and reflect on the following things: 1) Is our service actually commercially viable? 2) Given our burn-rate, will we be able to secure another round of funding given our lack of a coherent product or service? 3) Why do you come to work every day? Is it to keep the show going because you believe in what you do, or is it simply you are praying for an exit?
