Pros
Great teams, the people made me stay longer than I should have. Fantastic health benefits. Flexible hours if you're not a dev. Hybrid remote work option. Needs more diverse leaders.
Cons
-Toxic work environment. -Terrible leadership with poor communication and strategy skills - Fake flexibility. Flexibility often means they message you a lot end of day to help them manage their mis-management. -Incredibly low salaries for the amount of work you do and are expected to do. - Lack of values. I left and am still in shock by my pay raise. 30K more and I'm doing real work not busy work. -Very out of touch leadership. Work you to the bone and then expect even more from you. - Unpaid overtime. -Employees do not feel safe to speak out and even lie in their performance reviews out of fear of being reprimanded. -Lots of talk and no action to keep people from leaving but nothing ever changes. -Save yourself years of burnout and imposter syndrome. Do not work here. It's toxic.

Pros
One thing that I always keep hearing is that the best part of Content Bloom is the people, this is incredibly true. I was part of the people evacuated due to wildfires and took time off, never once did anyone make me feel bad about taking the time, and more than that leadership not only sent me messages but called me to make sure we were ok, had a place to stay. I don't know many other places that truly worry and want you to be ok on a personal level. I can say I like my work colleagues and its true camaraderie among everyone, is it going through growing pains? yes, definitely, are there things that need improving? yes, but overall, I enjoy my work and as everyone will tell you, the people. It what makes Content Bloom a good place to work.
Cons
It's going through growing pains, and I think the processes need tweaking so it's not a pain when admin stuff need to happen.

Pros
The benefits CB offers are great - vacation time, unlimited sick leave, parental leave, health benefits. Most of the people are amazing as well. There are many genuinely awesome people who care and who are trying to make a difference. The values CB has documented are genuinely good values, they just don't do much in terms of standing by them.
Cons
Once you get past the surface and dig into the foundation of the company things start to fall apart. Decision making is done emotionally, but they try to hide that under an overabundance of data. Salaries are usually low. Once I left the company I was able to see how under paid I really was (am now making 20K more than I did there). I used to think it was a company that had it's struggles but was generally ok and trying, however the longer I've been away from it the more I realize how genuinely toxic it really was. Being in environments that are truly supportive and empowering, you see how mentally and emotionally draining working at CB is. If you're a technical person, it might be ok. There are more layers of management and so you're not as affected by the terrible pieces. Just make sure you ask for the salary you actually deserve. If you're non-technical, and value yourself, walk away.

Pros
Great benefits; unlimited sick time; paid time for running errands and family emergencies. High emphasis on education, 40 hours of PD per year. Team is culturally diverse.
Cons
Pay is mediocre; high burn out; owners are out of touch and can be volatile; work hours range from 40-48 with no additional compensation; no HR department; monthly pay; prevailing attitude that only CB experience matters

Pros
Don’t know how they’re getting all these positive reviews. The pay is peanuts and work can get hectic depending on the client. Generally, work culture is fantastic however you will not grow as a developer. If you aren’t technically inclined and need a less dev oriented job then go ahead. But your skills will rot and you will have trouble finding new employment afterwards.
Cons
-niche tech stack. Useless for future employment - lot of BS work - low pay

Pros
Career advancement, education stipend, mentorship program, good healthcare, friendly co-workers, generally positive vibe.
Cons
Prone to burn-out; un-written expectation to work *a lot*. Mis-use of the term "work-life balance". Lack of senior alignment.

Pros
- True CMS experts that allow you to learn a lot about content management and the importance of it related to business and marketing - Leadership drive improvement throughout the organization, and put feedback into action - Enterprise level clients which means you'll be working with some of the biggest companies in the world - Supportive culture and awesome people - Bonus structure and reward performance
Cons
- As expected with a global company, you need to be efficient and effective working remotely - Very technical environment. The company is largely computer scientists - so you should know how to work in these environments.

Pros
The leadership team really trusts us to deliver quality work. They believe we will manage our time wisely in order to ensure that the work is done to an exceptional level. This gives us a lot of freedom and ability to manage our own day. This trust goes throughout everything the company does and really helps everyone to enjoy their jobs and chose how they would like to work. They've never raised an eyebrow if we are joking or having fun in the office because they know the work will get done on time and that they have nothing to worry about. On top of that, unlimited sick time, and the ability to work remotely also show how much we are trusted. In terms of the work itself, Content Bloom is a medium-sized company that still has the small-company feel. Everyone gets to contribute to the company and help it grow. At the same time, we often work for large enterprise clients. This gives us the ability to gain a wealth of experience without having to be stuck as a cog in a huge corporation. There are always opportunities to move up and I've grown so much over my 4+ years at Content Bloom. The opportunities never stop coming. On top of that, Content Bloom seems to only hire positive, fun, and passionate professionals. Everyone enjoys joking, chatting, and working collaboratively to get their work done. At the same time, everyone is willing to work together for a few extra hours when necessary to ensure the team's success and drive our solutions to top quality. Titles are usually left out of collaborative work and everyone is free to contribute to make sure everything is as good as it can be. Overall a really great place to work.
Cons
Being a company that is primarily focused on software means that there are crunch times where we have to work long weeks to deliver a project. Recently Content Bloom has been good at giving us solid time off afterward so that we can get this time back, but the crunch times are something to be aware of.

Pros
I went into Content Bloom not really knowing what to expect because let's face it, new jobs are tough, you need to meet new people and learn new skills so I was nervous and worried that I would end up hating it (like most of my other tech jobs) but I was so pleasantly surprised! I love working here and I never thought I would be one of those people who says ' I love my job' but I really do. It's an agile environment and people are nice, friendly and you never feel dumb asking questions. There is a lot of opportunity for growth, and you are encouraged to develop your skills and role within the company, which is even more awesome. Especially if you're a forward thinking, techie or creative type. My colleagues are amazing too, and it's fun going in to work. Fav part of the job is the company culture and the encouragement to improve your skills, with online courses and conferences.
Cons
It's all the way in Bedford. I wish we were located in Halifax because the commute is long on some days. The salaries could be better but the company is very generous and open to discussing pay and salary increase.
