Pros

Very rewarding job that allows you make a difference in the lives of children with autism. Provides paid training.

Cons

The hours are horrible, you can have up to 2-3 hour gaps in between clients. The office personnel are not always the best when it comes to communicating sudden cancellations. They tell you that you get make up hours for when the clients cancel during your interview, but it's not true, they have a person that only works fill ins.

Poor Management

Pros

Owners are very nice people and actually try to have a good work environment for employees, however they are not aware of what goes on in certain departments and how much company time is wasted by some people investigating whether or not others are doing their job right.

Cons

There's severe micromanagement going on in certain departments, some of the leaders lack leadership skills, common sense and people management skills, however nothing is done regarding this. There's a looot of meetings that are redundant including department meetings and unhelpful/ repetitive individual meetings.

Pros

CAC has both a great clinical and administrative team that strive to work collaboratively in unison so that the client's receive the best services possible and the staff feels supported. I have really enjoyed working with all the employees at all levels and in all departments. The owners are actively involved in the company's daily operations and are the most genuine people you could ever hope to work for in your career. At the forefront of every decision is striving to not only make CAC the best it can be for the clients, but for the employees as well. CAC provides a positive and healthy work environment for all employees - from the direct staff of RBTs, to the admin team, to the clinical team. Open communication is encouraged and welcomed. The owners and management team actively listen to the feedback from their employees. As a result, the employees are heard and feel empowered as truly being part of the CAC team. CAC provides great career opportunities and paths for employees and even has internship opportunities for RBTs wanting to advance their career. While CAC is by no means perfect, the team strives to make it the best it can be. As with any entry level position there is the good and the bad. Many of the complaints of entry level staff are not necessarily specific to CAC, but rather inherent overall difficulties of that position and nature of providing ABA treatment. Not sure you can really ask for much more in a place of employment.

Cons

As with any job or place of employment there are always pros and cons. As a smaller and fairly young agency, one of the cons could be that things are constantly changing (e.g., policies, procedures, etc.). But honestly, this could be seen as both pro and a con. Because it is a growing company things are often changing for the better. And it also presents the opportunity to be part of the change in a positive way.
