Toxic Work Culture with Extremely Poor HR Management
Pros
Exposure to real client projects and production-level work Some learning opportunities and certifications Friendly colleagues at the team level
Cons
The biggest issue in this company is the HR/People team and overall management, which lack professionalism, transparency and respect for employees. Employees are not able to question HR decisions or policies openly. They cannot tolerate employees speaking up for their rights, especially at the level of the Head of Talent and the People/HR team. Any attempt to raise concerns, ask questions, or seek clarification is often perceived negatively and treated as misbehaviour rather than handled professionally. The behaviour of the Head of Talent is particularly concerning and contributes heavily to the toxic environment. There is a strong expectation that employees should behave in a submissive manner and accept decisions without question. There is also a clear lack of professionalism in HR operations. Communication is inconsistent, sometimes informal, and lacks accountability. Important matters are not handled through proper professional channels, leading to confusion and frustration. In some situations employees may feel pressured to resign voluntarily, rather than being supported through fair and transparent processes. There is also a perception that if employees do not comply, it could negatively impact important documentation such as service letters which creates additional stress and pressure. Off-boarding processes are extremely poor. Obtaining essential documents becomes unnecessarily difficult and time-consuming, even after multiple follow-ups. There is little transparency, and ownership between HR and management is unclear. Overall management is weak and lacks structure. Employees are not treated equally, and decisions often feel biased. Job security is low, and employees can feel easily replaceable once their work is completed.
