Pros

Relatively high pay, good bonuses if they give them out. Some good "fringe" benefits. Somewhat flexible schedule (work from home)

Cons

No career advancement (flat management structure), No training or standard work processes cause problems and confusion between departments, poor communication from managers to supervisor to workers, not really an engineering job its more of a customer service/IT position. Always busy with menial tasks to do the work that is really needing to be done

Pros

I have worked for Codeware for over 7 years. Based on previous work experience all I can say is that this is a rare and wonderful company to work for. The engineering team members are trained as engineers and encouraged to advance their skills. The team I work with collaborates together and has our clients’ best interests at heart. The pay is higher than average with great benefits. Working here allows me to use my engineering degree. I still have all my text books in my office because I reference them often.

Cons

I do not have any cons about this company. I have been able to develop my Engineering skills since I began my career here.

Pros

There are some really great engineers that work here, the pay is decent, and the CEO is extremely passionate. Most of the employees are pretty friendly. The work is also not very difficult which makes the job pretty low stress the majority of the time.

Cons

I am only speaking towards experience in the Austin office Though the CEO is passionate, his passion does not reach the management in Austin. The management's communication here is poor to the point it becomes adverse to company success. Clear deadlines, goals, and project deliverables are nonexistent. QA management looks to usurp credit for team successes without crediting employees and has been known to throw employees under the bus when mistakes occur. While most of the developers at this company are great and a pleasure to work with, some developers are very standoffish, cynical, and unprofessional which is not conducive to a team environment and can make it very difficult to work at times. The structure of the company is very flat (as another review previously mentioned), and any goals employees may have in their careers go unnoticed, even when communicated to management. If you hope for career advancement, this is most likely not the best place to do it. Unfortunately, diversity is also not very important to this company, and there is a clearly disproportionate minority presence.
