Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Being a small and young company we feel that this feedback is important for us to grow and develop. As you mentioned we are having a positive impact on learners and schools and the only way we can continue with our mission is by making sure our talented staff are heard and feel comfortable sharing information with the team. We strive to provide an environment where everyone, investors, staff, clients, feel they’re valued, treated fairly and respected. Please reach out to me directly as I would love to hear your suggestions on ways we can improve.

Pros

-Great product that has potential. -Mission is meaningful. -Employees are amazing, talented people who genuinely care.

Cons

-Lack of trust in employee expertise or feedback -Projects are nearly always chaotic, rushed, inadequately managed -Scattered and broken processes that make things more complicated -Toxic positivity; critical concerns dismissed -"Startup life;" is the go-to excuse for the avoidable (unreasonable expectations, poor planning, erratic changes.) -Problematic treatment from some upper staff of lower-level staff continues unchecked (micromanaging, manipulative, passive-aggressive) -Experience, knowledge, and contributions of employees who are not in upper management are not valued.

Thank you for the advice. After receiving this and other team members’ feedback, questioning and really listening, the CEO has taken the necessary actions to make sure that a similar situation that you have experienced does not happen again. There have been changes in the leadership team, guidelines and new practices put in place to keep a pulse on how each staff member is feeling. We appreciate your honesty, all that you contributed to Classcraft and we wish you all the best.

Pros

Implication with the fast growing education tech market. Helping kids.

Cons

Nothing changes if you aren't a member of the family that leads the company. The proof is that the CEO is one of the only two reviews on the company on this site. Fake culture and values that exist only to find ways to fire people.
