    Pros

    THE PEOPLE
    Involvement in the community
    Casual Office environment
    Fun, social opportunities and events

    Cons

    Out-of-touch leadership team
Limited opportunity for growth & limited income potential
Constant changes and improvements to mimic whatever the latest and greatest business strategy book is being read by the leadership team
Revolving door of Marketing and Sales Leadership

    Advice to Management

Although social recognition and fun celebrations are great, the only way to truly keep loyal and hard working employees for more than 3-5 years is to pay them what they are worth!

    Pros

    Advice to Management

Rebuild trust and open communication, from bottom to top.

I have been working at CivicPlus full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Openly welcomes constructive feedback.
    - Constantly growing and evolving.
    - Positive culture and atmosphere.
    - Great location, pay and benefits.
    - Upward mobility available.

    Cons

    - There is definitely a learning curve, make sure that you are bringing a positive attitude and a desire to learn, and you will be fine; but you have to learn.

    Advice to Management

Everyone is very open to change, and I know that change takes time and many things need to be considered, but sometimes it feels like the changes could be accelerated a little more easily than it is.

    Pros

Pay is fine. Leadership is very interested in growing the company which will provide continued promotions if your willing to put the time and effort in. Working in the public sector is very rewarding.

    Cons

At this point, no stock options are on the table for employees.

    I worked at CivicPlus full-time

    Pros

Great perks, fantastic office and equipment, flexible schedule depending upon role and mostly great people that care about their job and co-workers

    Cons

Leadership lacks accountability and tasks staff with busywork-style side projects that end up being meaningless and damage morale due to no payoff

    Advice to Management

Focus, own up to your mistakes and eliminate unnecessary projects for staff that sap their energy and precious time

I have been working at CivicPlus full-time

    Pros

Growing quickly and should only continue to do so. Always looking for ways to improve products and processes, which is a good challenge. Open environment. Leaders are easy to work with. Fun atmosphere.

    Cons

Not much. Pay and benefits are competitive but could be better. Lots to do, but not enough time to get it done!

    Advice to Management

Continue to foster an open environment. Make sure teams are focused on the right priorities.

I have been working at CivicPlus full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It is a challenging, innovative place to work. They really care about providing unique, compelling employee benefits and making the company a great place to work. They constantly seek feedback and ideas to make it a better workplace, and regularly make the changes or additions people suggest.

There are also always opportunities for advancement. Internal employees can apply for any job before it is posted publicly. The focus on personal development and training opportunities for career building are fantastic. I LOVE working here.

    Cons

There is a fair amount of turnover, just from a lot of young employees coming to work straight out of college and then moving to larger cities or finding a position more fitting of their goals elsewhere. It can get a little stressful with new people frequently joining teams and having to be trained, but the company is also constantly growing, so there would be new hires frequently either way. It is a growing company, so sometimes the workload can get really high before another position can be justified. In my experience, that is true of almost any growing company, though.

    Advice to Management

Continue the open door policy. The Leadership team juggles a lot, and the larger the company gets, the more that is true. But they are amazing at listening to employee feedback and always welcoming employees to reach out. I hope they can stay that way.

    Pros

Great workplace, decent pay and benefits, good people to work with overall.

    Cons

Training is quite lackluster, you get thrown into the first pretty much right away. They are a little forgiving when you make mistakes, and you will make them because the training is not nearly good enough.

    Advice to Management

Make sure your employees are comfortable and ready to start their jobs before you set them loose. The work is complicated.

I have been working at CivicPlus full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I ha e been here for over a year and I have worked for many companies but this one truly takes care of it's employees. They do a tremendous job showing their people how much they care. I love the random care packages!

    Cons

Being remote is a bummer at times since you don't get to know everyone as well. With that said office employees say the same about us being remote. For once there are far more Pros at CivicPlus than cons.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work. Continue listening to the people who make it happen in every deptartment. I know things will never be perfect but I appreciate all the efforts being made to improve all areas of what we do.

I have been working at CivicPlus full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great environment to work, outstanding benefits, flexible and relax pace. Lots of core values and communication (if requested) outgoing management. They are a lot of great this going on.

    Cons

It will really depend on you. There's a lot of young talent and if you don't ask for advise or get side track this could potentially be counterproductive. You can look at other negative rating of the company but is truly not real.

    Advice to Management

    Keep expanding. GO 375
