Bad Place to Work

Pros

Can get to work on an interesting project. Engineers try to do a good job. Some people in management do care - but not all.

Cons

Management is very disorganized, people get taken off of projects and put on new ones on what seems like a whim, and it was not uncommon to be told to stop working on a project one day, be told to work on something else, and then told to work on that original project again in the span of 3 days. If something was behind schedule it was only your job (by yourself) to work as much as it took in order to get it done even though they hadn't requested sufficient hours to complete it in the first place (coworker was told to cut the hours on a proposal he was working on even though what he had put the thought was accurate). Hardly any oversight from management for newer engineers resulted in many fusturations. Never knew why some people were on the bad side of the CEO when they completed their work to the best of their ability (no help from management, might get in trouble asking coworker for help), no real performance feedback, no real raises. Do not work here unless you are desperate.

Pros

Very interesting work. Great co-workers. Great locations.

Cons

Managers are not well educated. Job description of what you apply for may or may not be what you will be expected to do. You will be working 60+ hours a week in order to complete your weekly tasks. Your manager will not give you a clear description of what you need to do and if there is a problem with the software itself, they just will not believe you. Many people here get fired. Scare tactics are a popular management tool.
