      Great remote work environment with supportive team culture

      Pros

      Working fully remote has been a huge benefit for both productivity and work-life balance. Everyone I work with is incredibly kind and smart, and always willing to help, which makes a big difference day-to-day. Work is not stagnant. I learn something new everyday and it is rewarding both personally and career-wise. I can see myself growing here long-term. Clinical research is meaningful work, and I believe Castor is moving in the right direction.

      Pros

      Products are used in clinical trials so you are contributing to something important & meaningful. Generally good brand recognition and a decent EDC. On top of that: - Unlimited PTO - Remote work - Generally nice and smart colleagues

      Cons

      Until Castor actively safeguarded it, they had an outstanding company culture. Aggressive over-hiring followed by massive layoffs, along with changes in management, definitely did not help with morale or trust. Castor’s culture manifesto emphasized kindness and respect, yet for some reason, instances of higher management publicly calling out or humiliating colleagues during calls were tolerated. There are almost no opportunities for career growth, and compensation is below industry standards. A strong “bro mentality” has taken hold in many teams, creating a hostile environment.
