Pros
Fully remote, flexible schedule for some positions, decent PTO
Cons
Too many to list. Founder is vindictive and pushes all the good W2 employees away all while threatening lawsuits at every turn. Leadership says "your opinion matters" but only if it aligns with theirs. I've seen multiple instances of retaliation from leadership. They preach "confidentiality" but will not keep anything you say in confidence. New projects are not thought out thoroughly. I worked so many hours on multiple new projects/processes all to have that time completely meaningless when the project or process is scrapped. When new projects are pushed out (before they have had time to figure out what the process should be) it is all just a horrible mess and everyone is scrambling and stressed. The whole company is based on cliques. If you aren't in the "in crowd" you will be the next one laid off since layoffs are happening more and more frequently. While I loved my job and what I thought the company stood for, we basically had to lie to clients and focus more on quantity than quality. Leadership would promise the world to their clients/law firms and expect the rest of us to be able to handle a workload that we did not have enough employees for. Then when the company couldn't meet their end of the deal the client/firm would drop us and we knew layoffs were eminent. Every day would be more stressful than the last and working here was really wearing on my mental health. To be honest, I am still afraid that the other shoe is about to drop and I'm not even employed here any longer. You can't trust anyone at Case Works whether or not they sing their praises. The (serial) CEO is a joke. Town halls are like listening to a politician's speech. They promised transparency but did not live up to it. Either leadership fails to see that the company is struggling HARD or they are living in a dreamland and will have a rude awakening soon enough.
