I have been working at Canada Computers full-time for less than a year

    Pros

-if your Asian you will get special treatment, particularly if your from mainland china. -If your a thief its a great place to work as the one in our service center was only let go after he started stealing cd-keys from companies with fairly large pockets and influence. customer's and co-workers though everyone turned a blind eye to. also activate your promo keys ASAP. -If you want to return a bricked phone this is the best place to do it, we had like 5 phones in limbo because no-one knew FRP was a thing after reset. -If you need to fill in a gap in your employment its a good option, the turnover rate is so high they are literally always looking for staff. they don't even bother taking the signs off the door with a full crew!

    Cons

-Management is terrible, I am convinced the qualification are basically being Chinese and telling people you can't help them with whatever the problem is. -They will rarely actually work on a computer, most of the time they just use software to diagnose for like 3 days and send it back to you when everything pass's because it doesn't actually put a load on the system to provoke failure, can't entirely blame the guys in service though because the company is so cheap they don't provide you with proper tools or parts to test with, forcing service to steal customer parts like thermal paste, screwdrivers, fans, etc. -You'll have to lie and scam customers, the company doesn't provide service with boards for all the different sockets so they will just take your money and tell you your stuff was to outdated and they couldn't test it, hope you have a questionable moral compass. -10 hour work days and being regularly understaffed. -will lie to you during the interview, not realizing the staff are not paid enough to keep the lie's going. -High turnover rate, my store only had one guy who worked there for a full year. -useless warranties your job depends on, the manufacturers have tested these parts for failure and know how many hours they can be expected to last, your part is either going to fail within the first 3 months due to a defect or suffer a heat death after a warranty expires. -It doesn't matter what your hired for, they like to combine like 3 jobs into one and stick you mostly doing the one the people in charge don't want to do. -Snakes, you'll deal with some people under the impression that if they talk behind your back enough they can gain favor not realizing CC is a franchise you have to buy into in order to make it anywhere. -Very high chance you will be let go after 3 months, they will say your "under probation" but really they've already decided if they want to keep you or not within the first week, if they start giving you all the low totem stuff to do start putting resumes out.

I worked at Canada Computers full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    - Get to learn and play with the latest technology. - Friendly co-workers. - Always hiring - Apply here if you are just looking for a temporary position. - Good work experience, you'll learn quickly with hands on approaches.

    Cons

    - Long hours, they don't allow enough breaks. - Lack of incentives for management, yet you are on call in case of emergencies. - Under paid comparing to other companies. - Lack of training provided, yet set expectation high. - Unsupportive upper management, full of lies. - Majority of the Management Team don't care about your well being, they "say" they do, but they actually don't. All they care about is numbers. - Disorganized head office, slow in response time. Majority of the head office staffs are Asian. Speaks broken English. Hard to understand them sometimes. - RMA/Repair turnaround time takes too long. - They say focus on "customers comes first", yet when you honor a warranty claim, RMA department will question you for your action. - Dishonest customers, rude and ignorant. - Keeps on opening new stores, but none of them were well prepared for opening. - Lots of website errors. Lack of attention to detail. - Don't go pouring your heart out, they under evaluate/appreciate employees. - Loads of politics - Upper management tends to jump to conclusions, they don't care to investigate the truth. - Some of the locations are unionlized. - You are nothing but a number to them, they'll get rid of you if your warranty number sucks. Your hard work don't matter to them.

    Pros

seriously, none. coworkers, that's about it.

    Cons

Where do I begin... crappy pay, warranty scam to our customers, poor management lacking leaderships, no proper breakroom to rest, and you are sales, but they will ask you to clean, stock, and count with no extra pay. They are pushing us to sell warranty all the time but never transparent about the pay structure, and the customers bought the warranty are struggling to claim it when something happens to their product. Our delusional CEO is always telling us that we are struggling to survive; hence, there's little to no pay raise but keeps opening more stores everywhere all over the country.
