Pros

They inflate your ego to make you think you are a great candidate.

Cons

They could care less about you as a professional or human being. They are taking advantage of the fact that they have a contact with national laboratories. They will drag you along in the recruitment process without telling you the truth.

Communication Issues

Pros

The people at Cloverleaf are eminently likable, and they're pretty keen to place you if they can. I found their collective demeanor generally professional and personable, which is a plus for employees.

Cons

There appeared to be very poor communication between Cloverleaf and the manager I was working for, and Cloverleaf appeared to be surprised by the scope of the duties I had been asked to perform. The job description I was given and the magnitude of my actual duties were very different, and attempting to inform Cloverleaf that I had been ordered to assume many duties far, far outside the scope of my job description triggered the sudden loss of my contract, without any warnings that my performance had been inadequate. I was only informed after I was told my contract was being terminated that the manager had negative things to say about my performance. No one at Cloverleaf reached out to me before that point to say anything about my performance. The only feedback I had gotten before my contract was terminated was that I was performing well. There's no reason to assume this was Cloverleaf's fault: others employed by Cloverleaf for the same manager were also given duties far outside the scope of their jobs and were similarly terminated without warning, so I suspect the manager I and others were contracted to work for is the root of the issue. However, because it is a repeat pattern, it suggests that there is a breakdown of communication there that requires Cloverleaf's attention.
