Pros

The techs themselves are hard working, good, fun and enjoyable people. Some nice lunch places are nearby. The health plan is actually very good.

Cons

Management demands too much work, for too little pay. Does not know how to communicate properly and has no people skills. Gets upset if the techs laugh and joke amongst themselves. Gives no direction on anything, and makes sure you are stressed out by making sure you are constantly working and keeping track of your work at all times. High turnover in employees.

Thanks for your review and insights. In late 2015, we revised our managed service offering to include additional software and services. We then converted our existing clients by deploying the same software and services across them all. This standardization allows us to assign staff to specialize in specific areas. From a tech perspective there are 2 sides to this. Simplifying, as you no longer have to do a little bit of everything everywhere, but limiting as you are now specializing in focused areas of technology. We think we’ve found the right balance. Throughout the day I hear BMT staff communicating, either having a laugh or collaborating on a client problem

Great work but no advancement

Great people, the work was great. Got to work will all new technology. You are exposed to a lot of different and interesting companies. The people in the company are great.

Cons

You work long hours. A lot of times I was getting out of work in Manhattan at 6 or 7 pm. There is no room for advancement. It is also impossible to get a raise.

Thanks so much for your feedback! 5 years is a long time these days. Glad you found the people, work, technology and clients favorable. We’ve never had very many clients in Manhattan, but whoever it was must have liked you if they kept having you back :) I know we’ve always paid overtime (1.5) for the extra hours. Since you didn’t get the pay you feel you deserved, I hope you found what you needed elsewhere.

OK place to start, but no long term future

-You get to work on a variety of different technologies -I worked with a great group of techs

Cons

-Salary is not that great based on the level of work you are expected to do -Very high turnover -Lack of experienced/skilled management -Tense and discouraging work environment, mostly due to poor leadership -No gratitude from management when you do something well, but they are quick to pounce on you if you make a mistake
