We’re sorry you had a negative experience at Britec, we always look for feedback on how to improve. Thanks for submitting this. After going through an intensive hiring process, we trust our employees from day one. Our trust in our employees is clearly demonstrated by the fact that we allow, and continue to allow, all our staff to work remotely during the COVID pandemic. While working remotely, or from office, being away from your computer for 5 minutes is completely acceptable and we do encourage employees to occasionally step away so that their minds can refresh. You just need to let us know your headed out for a short break or walk. We’re always striving to improve our employee’s skills and provide training so that our staff can excel in their roles. In order to achieve this, we invest in our employee’s education and provide many of our staff with fully paid SAIT courses, online Udemy courses and peer mentoring. We ACTIVELY encourage professional development. At Britec, staff can work two jobs so long as it doesn’t interfere with their current position. We are quite clear on this and it is written in our employee handbook. We also don’t have any lawsuits against us for wrongfully firing employees. Thanks again for your feedback.

Pros

None. This place is bad.

Cons

Really run down office, no management, unfriendly people and lack of direction. Dead end career, full of dead enders.

Thanks for your review. We’re always looking to improve. It’s unfortunate that you had a negative experience. For any candidates considering applying to Britec you will be called in for an in-person interview prior to any offer of employment. We don’t believe our office is run down and you will have a chance to see for yourself. We encourage professional development for all our employees and actively try to challenge them with increasingly complex projects so that they can build their skills. We don’t want anyone to find themselves at a dead end. We have an open and friendly team and do our best to ensure everyone feels connected by doing quarterly incentive programs, daily team meetings, provided lunches, and quarterly team events. This past quarter we had a quarterly incentive where staff were put into teams and were given the objective to walk 5km a day, everyday for 3 months. If everyone on the team succeeded, everyone would win a smart/sport watch. It was great to see different team members pushing and encouraging one another to make sure they got their 5km in. Thanks again for your feedback.
